Introducing the NEW Sony a7 and a7R, from their ILCE series. We've long dreamed of a 35mm size sensor in a DSLR style camera that is the same, smaller size as the original film cameras were. We'll here they are!
Within the remarkably small, classic 1970's style metal body is housed a clear, sharp EVF 100% viewfinder that shows more information and photographic detail than any optical one possibly could.
As soon at you pick one up it feels natural in the hand and the intuitive external controls sit perfectly for your fingers to adjust. You can just imagine that you have a 35mm SLR in your hands but, of course, you have much more than that. Behind is a flip out LCD screen that effectively becomes a waist level finder, allowing you to shoot discretely from the hip.
Inside is all the technology and control that a photographer needs to create beautiful images, and on the front, an expanding range of superb optics, including Zeiss.
There are 2 models, the a7 and a7R. The a7 offers 24.3MP and an optical low pass filter, and the a7R with 36.4MP without the optical low pas filter for even higher resolution - you choose.
