Been using the RF 100-400 now for a month I was a bit worried at first thought I made a mistake as I own a L series 70-200 but my money would not go the L series 100-500 so when canon release this one I took a gamble and I so impressed with the results it's as pulled off super sharpe images

The Canon RF 100-400mm is a lightweight and compact lens that focuses quickly and quietly, has good image stabilisation and excellent image quality. This lens is shorter and lighter than my old EF 70-200mm but seems to focus just as well and obviously has twice the “reach”.

I bought this lens to use on my Canon R6, particularly for motorsport photography. In my initial use of the lens I have been very impressed. The image stabilisation working in conjunction with the in-body stabilisation on the camera mean that I have no problem getting sharp images handheld, even at...

Love it! Delivers very good results & handles well. Importantly for me it is also lightweight.

I'm using this as a 'keen amateur" so price is an important consideration, for the good range of focal lengths, this is excellent value, one would obviously expect good optical quality from a Canon lens but this has exceeded my expectations.
