The Natural Choice
With a 35mm equivalent focal length of 35mm, XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR offers a natural perspective – and is ready to document the world in incredible detail. From edge-to-edge, its performance provides stunning clarity and vibrant colours, with minimal imperfections that will last long into the future.
Share Your Vision
XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR provides a field of view similar to the human eye, making it the perfect optic to communicate any creative vision. Whether you’re thrilled by a discovery, moved to tears by connection, or captivated by the community, this is the lens to help others understand your view of the world.
Perfect for Today, Ready for Tomorrow
Getting the best quality demands tight control of optical aberrations. XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR uses two aspherical lens elements to suppress spherical and coma aberration, plus three ED lens elements to reduce axial chromatic aberration. The result is superb high-resolution for current and future generations.
Striking the Perfect Balance
Optimum image quality shouldn’t come at the expense of portability. XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR blends the two perfectly, delivering high-resolution results with a weight of just 380g (0.84lb) – making this an easy-to-carry companion everywhere you go.
Enjoy Close Control
XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR focuses down to just 19cm (7.48in). Use this versatility to create dynamic close-up images, with tight control over both foreground and background elements.
Perfect For Those Unpredictable Moments
The best images happen when we least expect them, which is why XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR features a redesigned internal focusing mechanism. Driven by a fast, near-silent linear motor, enjoy an immediate response and precise results. Those unpredictable moments will turn into a lifetime of memories.
Make Any Moment a Masterpiece
Regardless of the sun is shining, or the heavens are opening, XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR is ready to turn any situation into a potential masterpiece. Weather-resistant seals throughout the lens’s construction repel dust and moisture, allowing it to perform effortlessly down to -10°C (14°F). Simply put, the elements should not get in the way of your next great image.
When Fujifilm announced a smaller and lighter alternative to its XF 35mm f/1.4 R in the shape of the XF 35mm f/2 WR, everyone suspected it might be the first lens in a new series of primes. It didn’t take long for Fujifilm to announce its second example.
When it comes to image quality, the Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR lens is capable of delivering some beautiful images when paired with something like the Fuji X-Pro2. Sharpness is great throughout the aperture range, and you’re likely to be pleased with what it can deliver.
An excellent lens – those words would be enough. Still, to make our summary more eloquent we have to add that for a very decent price you get a lens sensationally sharp in the frame centre, small, lightweight, weather-sealed and produced in Japan.
With a very even and impressive performance, weather resistance, great handling and high-quality finish it would be hard not to like this Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens. The Fujifilm XF 35mm f/2 R WR is an ideal standard lens for the range of Fujifilm cameras.
It’s a pioneering lens, but is the Fujifilm XF 50mm F1.0 W WR practical to use in the field? Michael Topham finds out
The Fujifilm XF 35mm F2 R WR offers a classic standard focal length, fast maximum aperture and weather-proofing in a small, discrete package, making it well-suited to street, reportage and low-light photography in any conditions when paired with a similarly weather-proof body.
Sporting the same field of view as a 35mm lens does on a 35mm camera, this lens should be a popular choice for the wish list of many Fuji X-series camera owners, especially with that fast f/1.4 maximum aperture.
The Fujinon XF 23 mm f/1.4 R, tested here by us, must get a really positive assessment. Still the situation is hardly so rosy if you start comparing the price of that lens to the prices of its rivals.
Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R WR, Verdict:
While most people gush over the Fuji 35, I have to say, this is the real gem of the Fuji lineup as it is superior in every way, when compared to the Fuji 35. Overall, I love the rendering and the sharpness of the lens wide open, and the character is top notch for all the lenses that I’ve used.
This was the first lens I purchased for my X-Pro 2. The quality is outstanding and as a result I sold all of my other 'Pro' gear and fully invested in the Fuji family. The earlier f1.4 lens gets a lot of favourable reviews for its majic image quality, however with the f2 while you lose one stop of...
Agonised between this and the f1.4 and finally bought the f2. Had the f1.4 been a little less expensive and weather resistant I think I would have gone for that. Just that tiny bit sharper with better bokeh. Very similar rendering but I'm never quite there with these f2 series.
This is a great go anywhere lens, extremely suitable for the weather in the UK at the moment due to it's weatherproofing. Compact, lightweight and quick to focus it gives me a 35mm (well 34.5 actually) equivalent view on my X-Pro3
Perfect lens for street photography as well as landscape. 35mm in full frame, perfect for in-door shooting as it can catch enough space without distorting too much of the surrounding. Sharp at f/2 and weather resistant which is very important for a lens to travel with.
The Fuji 23mm lens is a great lens, very sharp especially from f4, silent, nice and quick, what more could you ask for.
The Fuji 50mm f2 WR lens is compact and lightweight. Its perfect for street, and portrait photography, and gives effective focal length of 75mm. Image quality is superb, and renders nicely. with great character and smooth bokeh.
Optically l I am very pleased with the lens, but there are certain aspects to the functionality which, when compared with either the 18m or 27mm lenses (which I also have) I miss. First, with the other lenses I can switch the body to Manual Focus and the AF-L button functions, i.e. it autofocuses.
A great general purpose short telephoto and a viable alternative to the 56mm f/1.2 for portraits.
