Out of three lenses, launched along the Fujifilm X-Pro1, the 2.4/60 model has the best pros to cons ratio. Does it mean it is the best? It would be difficult to answer such a question unambiguously.

ePHOTOzine

Those wishing to use this lens for portraiture and the occasional bit of macro work will find the performance of the Fuji 60mm pretty much perfect. Sharpness is excellent from corner to corner, CA is pretty much non-existent, and other optical problems like distortion and falloff are also very well...

XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro This telephoto macro lens for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera provides a field of view equivalent to a 91mm lens on a 35mm camera, has a bright f/2.4 maximum aperture, produces half life size magnification at its closest focusing distance and costs around £600.

It\'s a quirky lens but I\'m pleased with the results I get from it. It\'s a solid lens mechanically and optically (for the most part, try not to shoot against the sun). Definitely one of the most underappreciated Fuji lenses but I love it for the bokeh it produces.

Bought as part of a X-T1 system and as a direct replacement for my old (part exchanged through WEX) Nikon 60mm f2.8 D Micro. The Fuji is pin sharp right from the off, I haven't noticed any distortions, it is well made and has the fantastic hard end stop aperture ring with indented f stops.

WEX

Together with my X-T1, this lens produced beautiful images, and I wish I still had it. I p/exed it for an XF16-80, which is very good, but it doesn't have the magical image quality of the 60.

Quick summary: optically this lens is stunning. It has great colors and bokeh is beautiful. I\'s a useful focal lenght for portraits too with an unusual f/2,4 aperture. Beware, it\'s not a 1:1 macro lens. The only one is the new 80mm. The 60mm is still wonderful but feels mechanically outdated.

Wex Photo Video

This is a truly great lens, pin sharp, ideal focal length for close ups (max magnification 1:2) and portraits. It is also useful for general photography and landscapes. The only downsides are that (i) in low light, on my Fuji X-M1, it can hunt around for auto-focus but that may be more to do with...

it does the job for the price still a sharp lens from fuji

Superb macro lens in a compact size and produces sharp images although a bit slow on focus

Wex Photo Video

It feels strong and well built and sharp focus. The front glass is quite far in from the lens so there's no need for a 'safety' UV filter (because of the distance from the front glass element it could cause light reflections).

Stunning lens, each time I use it it brings a smile to my face when I see the results on Screen.

A remarkable lens that's sharp at all apertures and delivers a pleasing bokeh used wide open. Versatile too. As a 90mm full-frame equivalent it makes an ideal portrait lens - if perhaps a bit on the sharp side - and its crisp macro performance down to 1:2 means it's a handy lens to have around at virtually any time. This is a complex and very superior 10-element lens that punches well above its surprisingly modest weight.
