The eXQuisite 1

The Fujifilm X-Series of cameras is something of a legend. The launch of the original FInePix X100 was meant to be a bit of a gamble. The rumour was that it wasn’t meant to be as popular as it was. Then there was an earthquake, and only two days later, staff were queuing to get back to work, such was the popularity of the camera.

Only a few years later and we’ve had cameras aimed at every level of photography from the professional level X-Pro1, all the way to the compact XF1.

And now we have the XQ1.

So…in a nutshell, what is it? It is a 12 megapixel X-Trans CMOS II Sensor, EXR Processor II, f1.8-4.9 4x optical zoom, Wi-Fi and Full HD Movie compact camera.

Somehow a nutshell isn’t quite big enough to explain it.

The amazing results that are produced by this camera is supported by the same sensor as the big brother X20. The camera also includes a range of special effect filters and film simulation modes drawing on Fujifilm’s respected film line.

The camera also has built in Wi-Fi which allows users to transfer files to a smartphone or tablet with ease. From there on to Facebook, Twitter and more.

All the bells and whistles are secondary to the build quality, operation and feel of the camera.
The black version features a leather effect finish that keeps the theme of the X-Series. The silver version is sleek and sleeps in to any pocket very easily. The zoom control is handled via the ring on the front of the lens.

A step above the XF1 and harnessing the power of the X20. This is a beautiful camera and fits in to the X-Series range with ease.
