Product Details

The MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 allows you to use your SIGMA EOS mount interchangeable lenses with the Sony E-mount camera body.

  • Adapt EF-Mount Lens to Sony E Body
  • Integrated LED Displays Compatibility
  • Maintains Autofocus and Auto-Exposure
  • Supports In-Camera Correction Features
  • Flocked Interior Reduces Reflections
  • Retains EXIF Data

Until now, the market has seen the introduction of many methods for using lenses from one camera system with a body from a different system. In the digital age, however, camera systems have become much more complex, and it is challenging to create a mount converter that aligns both the mechanics and software of the lens and body. Creating a converter that matches lenses for current DSLRs to bodies for mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera systems is even more challenging. Now the market demands a converter that goes beyond simply aligning the flange back distance to retaining full functionality.

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 incorporates the digital data necessary to provide fast and smooth AF for compatible lenses as well as OS features and functions of the camera that help control peripheral brightness and correct transverse chromatic aberration, distortion, and more. In addition, since Sony E-mount camera bodies do not require mechanical integration with lenses for aperture control, the MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 makes SIGMA interchangeable lenses for Canon cameras fully compatible with the automatic exposure control of Sony E-mount camera bodies.

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 is ideal for professional photographers who use different camera systems depending on the subject, as well as amateur photographers who enjoy using a variety of camera systems. Increasing the compatibility of lenses with different camera systems makes these assets more valuable than ever. In addition, users of Sony E-mount camera bodies will enjoy an immediate increase in the number of lenses available to them

Easy-to-use interface

  • Green light: the lens is compatible.
  • Blinking orange light: the lens is compatible but needs firmware update.
  • Not lighting up: the lens is not compatible.

The LED display on the MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 makes it easy to know whether an attached lens is compatible or not and whether the mount converter control data needs to be updated for operation with that lens.

Compatible with optical stabilization features of both lens and camera body

The compatibility of MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 with the OS features of both the lens and the camera body makes possible superior correction of camera shake and other stability issues. When used with a camera body that features an OS function, MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 allows angle shake correction in the lens for superior corrective performance.

Flocking inside barrel helps prevent internal reflections

MOUNT CONVERTER MC-11 features flocking in its interior to help prevent internal reflections and a reduction in lens performance.

Compatibility with Exif data

Lens type, focal length, F number, and other tags are embedded as Exif data in the image file.

Still, compared to the reflex camera version, this lens has some assets too. It is physically lighter, a bit slimmer and, what's interesting, cheaper, because its suggested price is almost $1100. The reflex camera version of this lens, present on the market for almost two years now, is $20 cheaper.

The Sigma 24-70mm Art is a fabulous lens. It’s hugely impressive in terms of build quality, handling, and the performance of its autofocus and stabilization systems. Most importantly, it simply delivers spectacular image quality.

Photography BLOG

The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Art lens offers a classic focal range and fast maximum aperture whilst delivering the goods in the image quality department. It's tack-sharp throughout most of the zoom range, particularly in the centre of the frame, with sharpness only falling off a little at f/2.8...

Practical Photography

For many photographers, the most coveted walkabout focal length is 24-70mm, with most major manufacturers offering lenses at this range due to its extreme versatility. While own-brand lenses have often been the go-to for anybody looking for premium quality, Sigma has just released its own 24-70mm...

Is Sigma's standard zoom a worthy alternative to the big brand alternatives?

Camera Labs

The Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 DG DN Art is a bright-aperture general-purpose zoom for Sony e-mount and Leica L-mount mirrorless cameras, that's a viable alternative to the original 24-70mm f2.8 lenses from Sony and Panasonic - not to mention Canon and Nikon, should Sigma develop RF and Z-mount versions.

PC Magazine

The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Art is a budget take on the 24-70mm design, but falls short of the marks we look for in a pro lens.

The Digital Picture

"The F2.8 Art zoom flagship zoom lens series is developed primarily to achieve superior optical performance." [Sigma] Most photographers can appreciate that goal, and it appears that the goal has been accomplished.

The Sigma Art range of lenses aims at the highest level of optical performance. Coupled with the extremely useful 24-70mm range, such a lens offers the potential of a huge step up from the average “kit lens” often supplied in a package with the camera.

The Digital Picture

The promise of Sigma Art lens quality coming to the 24-70mm focal length range along with an f/2.8 max aperture and optical stabilization had a large number of photographers signing up to add this lens to their kits immediately on announcement day.

The Sigma 24-70 ARt lens is not a bad lens, but in Sigmas SUPERB Art series line up it simply does not perform as well as other ART series lenses. I own numerous Sigma ART (prime) lenses, and all of them (aside from this one) are absolutely superb.

This has given me the flexibility to use my Sigma Canon mount lenses on my Sony A6300. It worked first time out of the box and I was able to update the firmware immediately. Great value for money.

Bought this to go with my Sony A6000 and the Sigma 150-600mm C. Work very well and I'd guess it would be even faster with a A6300 or A6500.

After doing my research I an so glad that I got this lens. It is sharp wide open, focus is fast. The depth of field is great also.

Had to buy this as originally bought sigma lens to fit canon not Sony, but this adapter does the job perfect, not so good for video work, but you should really be using manual focus for film. But for photos it's sharp like no other. Worth the money, espically as you can fit Sigma and canon lenses to it.
