New De-Click Feature for Filming

Samyang 85mm has been one of the most beloved lenses from the lineup thanks to its exceptional image quality with expressive characteristics. The new MF 85mm F1.4 MK2 introduces enhanced usability with de-click along with weather sealing. The round bokeh and outstanding optical system create unforgettable images of your loved ones. It is ideal for top quality portraiture and still images with its vivid colours and smooth out-focus quality.

When shooting video, it is pivotal to capture the object maintaining the same brightness even when you're changing the aperture. Here is the new feature for filming with MF 85mm. Switch the silver ring from "Click" to "Free", then your aperture is now not stopped at every aperture as cine lenses do. This "Declick" will help you adjust the brightness continuously and smoothly with much more detail between the F stops.

In terms of the “bokeh” performance, its 9-rounded aperture blades will help you achieve excellent “bokeh” results. The space between the subject and background will be effectively separated and make the subject more eye-catching. Its 9 aperture blades provide clearly defined sunstars when the aperture is stopped-down.

The new MF 85mm F1.4 MK2 features a total of 9 elements in 7 groups. Samyang uses 1 Hybrid Aspherical glass to minimize spherical and distortion aberration for sharp image quality. It will capture the detailed emotion of subjects in the most beautiful way.

Environmental seals are located in the lens mount area to prevent infiltration of moisture and/or raindrops. This feature provides an additional layer of protection when shooting outdoors under adverse weather conditions. Also, MF 14mm F2.8 MK2 has the new micropatterned rubber focus ring to lower the contaminations and increase the grip. The product design is updated with new components and fonts to convey a sophisticated and modern look.
