Product Details

Clear, directional audio on the GO!

For DSLR's, Compact Systems, almost anything

Compact and light weight by design, the VideoMic GO delivers clear, crisp, directional audio with incredible ease of use. Its tight pickup area focuses directly in front of the microphone and reduces other surrounding sounds, ensuring that your subject is isolated from distracting background noise.

The integrated Rycote® Lyre® shock mount isolates your microphone from bumps and vibrations that could otherwise interfere with your sound.

Constructed from a single piece of hard-wearing thermoplastic, the Lyre® provides superior acoustic suspension to traditional elastic solutions, and will never wear out, sag or snap.

The VideoMic GO has no complicated switches or settings and is powered by your camera's external microphone input, requiring no batteries to operate, ensuring you never miss a great shot.

The Gadgeteer

As long as you keep in mind that where you buy is important for the warranty, the RØDE VideoMic GO II microphone is an excellent entry-level device for those getting started in content creation.

Small and compact enough to mount on my GH4 when the camera is mounted on a PILOTFLY three axis stabiliser. Compared to my Rode stereo pro mic all I can say is the sound quality is not quite as good as the pro which when you consider the pro is roughly three times the price.

I use on a Panasonic X920 camcorder, which already has good audio. The GO is good for subjects within a metre, interviews, etc. For ambient sound, there's too much background. No use on camera auto mode. I'll change to a more expensive mic.

WEX

A good compromise 'mini-mic' from a good quality brand.

Tried this on a couple of vlogs and it does the job quite well haven't sorted some of the levels properly yet so I'm stil getting used to it.

WEX

I use this product when conducting interviews or clips for youtube projects and it does the job, improvement on internal mic and does get rid of some of the background noise

Works ok except an annoying hum that comes through the headphones. Better than my built in mike.
