The LUMIX G FISHEYE 8mm F3.5 features an outstanding compactness, taking advantage of the Micro Four Thirds system standard to achieve dramatic downsizing to one of the world’s smallest and lightest size.

The LUMIX G FISHEYE 8mm F3.5 lens system features a diagonal angle of view of 180-degree, bringing an distinctive perspective and unique deformation effect. It gives not only photos but also movies an extraordinary view to add an impressive scene to the story even for TV contents, films and web movies.

Comprising ten lenses in nine groups, the adoption of an ED lens achieves a stable descriptive performance from close-up to infinity minimizing chromatic aberration and distortion.

The closest focusing distance is as short as 0.1m, however, the LUMIX G FISHEYE 8mm / F3.5 incorporates inner focus system which enables a long working distance and users do not have to come closer to the subject even for the close-up shots.

The Micro Four Thirds System standard made it possible to achieve its compact size and lightweight body. Despite its extremely compact size and superb optical performance, this lens brings out the full capabilities of the 4/3-type image sensor, achieves smoother Live View in superb combination with camera’s body, and allows a variety of unique features such as the contrast AF function of the LUMIX G Micro System cameras.

The LUMIX G FISHEYE 8mm F3.5 is a very specialist lens that provides a unique view on the world. It delivers great image quality in a tiny package, but at £729 / $799.99 you've got to really love the fisheye effect.

ePHOTOzine

The compact size, and excellent optical performance of this fisheye optic will make it certainly worthy of consideration if the distorted fisheye effect is what you're after. The price is in-line with other manufacturers fisheye offerings for other camera systems, and this lens should be ranked up...

PC Magazine

The Panasonic Lumix G Fisheye 8mm F3.5 captures everything in front of your camera in a unique curved perspective, but it's a love-it or hate-it lens.

I use a fisheye often, both for interesting image composition in crowds, and most often for spherical panorama image acquisition in a PTGUI workflow. For the sphericals the sun is often a composition component. But this lens is subject to FLARE if the sun is anywhere in the image.

Add this fisheye to a 10cm dome port and that's it! The image quality is amazing and you don't get that tunnel vision effect you have when using SLRs with fish eyes and minidome ports due do the image distortion associated with the dome.

I first bought the Samyang 7.5mm f3.5 fisheye. But since I do a lot of close-up with my kids, I needed AF since they move a lot. On my Olympus E-M1, the focus is fast in good light, and a little bit slower when the lightning is dimmer. The lens is very sharp in the center wide opened.

B&H Photo

Although I am still not big on the bulbous look of fish-eyed photographs, I bought this lens for very-wide outdoor work. I had played with the defishing feature of DxO Viewpoint and was not sure that I could get a rectilinear shot I liked, but after having used the lens for a couple of weeks, I have...

Great lens. Our architectural office uses the lens to take photos inside existing buildings to be renovated. Also a fun lens for creative photography. A bit pricey, but a good quality lens.

B&H Photo

I tested several lenses for wide angle underwater photography and so far this is the best by far... It is very light and compact for one and the pictures are so crisp and clear.

B&H Photo

I use this lens for just about any subject. In extreme close up photos (flowers) I try to use the distortion to enhance the subject while shooting landscapes I can make the distortion almost invisible in some ways.

Good piece of glass, especially like the rear filter holder

As soon as I got a 4/3 format, I immediately bought this lens, because on the crop fisheye (sigma) was one of my favorites. Immediately drew attention to the insignificant HA. There is practically no need to remove them. The glass is quite sharp throughout the frame, which is also pleasing.
