The Eastman Kodak Company is an American technology company that produces camera-related products with its historic basis on photography. Kodak was founded by George Eastman and Henry A. Strong on September 4, 1888. During most of the 20th century, Kodak held a dominant position in photographic film. The company's ubiquity was such that its "Kodak moment" tagline entered the common lexicon to describe a personal event that was demanded to be recorded for posterity
Bridge cameras are designed to look like smaller SLR’s, have bigger zoom ranges, but offer the ease and flexibility of a point and shoot compact.
At the dawn of more consumer digital cameras, there was simply compact cameras and digital SLR’s. There was a gap between these two areas – for customers who wanted more manual controls, but without having to warry about carrying additional lenses. They “bridged” the gap in the market between Digital SLR and compact cameras (see what they did with the name there…).
All our models have a mode dial to allow to switch between the automated/scene modes and full manual control. Many have a zoom range that goes over 50x Optical, include 4K Movie, offer Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Connectivity, and pin sharp electronic viewfinders. Some even offer a larger 1.0”-Type sensor to offer even more colour and detail to your shots.
With offerings from Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Kodak and Sony, there’s lots of choice and if you need any help then give us a call and we can guide you through the options to find the right camera for you.
