New Epson Claria ET Premium Ink

The New 6-colour ink set produces superb, high-quality photos. Photos last up to 300 years when stored in an album. Photo black and new photo grey ink for stunning B&W photos. And the pigment black ink for sharp text documents on plain paper.

Why no Light Cyan and Light Magenta inks?

Traditional 6-colour models don’t use the smallest Cyan/Magenta droplet sizes to print the lightest shades. Instead, the printer uses large droplets of the lighter inks. This enhances quality without causing the printer to become annoyingly slow when printing areas of light colours.

The new ET-8500 and ET-8550 have a faster print head

(fast enough to use the smallest Cyan/Magenta droplet sizes for printing large areas of light colour), and combined with blending the new Photo Grey ink, means the lighter inks are no longer necessary.

By removing the Light Cyan & Light Magenta inks we can now include:

  • Pigment Black: for office-quality A4 text printing on plain paper
  • Photo Grey: for greatly enhanced B&W photo printing

Wide Colour Gamut

The wide colour gamut of Epson Claria ET Premium Ink delivers:

  • Better colour reproduction
  • Especially in the red, magenta and purple ranges
  • The new photo grey ink helps create more neutral colours
  • Smoother gradations

New Photo Grey ink for amazing B&W Photos

  • Print exquisitely detailed, high-contrast black & white photos with the new Photo Grey ink
  • Combined with the Photo Black ink, you’ll get dramatic images with beautiful toning
  • No colour casts

I have alway bought HP printers. I was buying the wrong printer for so many years. When the color ran out which was way too often and expensive they won't print in just black even though you are full of black ink.I am not sure if these printers do the same as far as when the color runs out but I am...

I bought the Epson ET-8550 Printer with a little trepidation as whether the print quality would be as acceptable as on my Canon printer but need not have worried they are as good if not better also the black &white prints are fine and being Eco-Tank don't have to worry about the ink running out

Bought as a present for my husband, he is still getting to know the printer but already loves it and the amount of possibilities

I managed to find one still in stock during the pandemic at the old price. The resolution is amazing. But Epson has always had the best print heads. Add the larger format and the Eco tanks and you got a real game changer. But wait,, a scanner too, Nice!

i have been using the printer for a week now. I must say this is by far the most efficient and fast printer i have. This is different than my traditional Printer with cartridges. The print quality is better, I print mostly photos for arts and crafts and media projects, and i can do so much with this...

Having read and watched several reviews about this printer I finally decided to invest in its purchase. I was very pleased with the printer for the following reasons 1. Small footprint. About the size of A3+ 2. Very cheap to run with the Eco Tank inks 3. Good reproductions.

I love the wide format printing. But the beautiful vibrant colors are amazing. The ability to purchase the ink in bulk bottles and refill, is a game changer. I feel like this ink is lasting me forever and I print alot! No smearing or smudging on my prints.

I received the Epson - EcoTank Photo ET-8550 All-in-One Wide-format Supertank Printer in exchange for my honest feedback. This printer is the best one I have ever used. It was very easy to set up the ink with little to no mess. It is also simple to connect devices to it.

Purchased to replace my Canon Pro 100 workhorse due to costs of Ink. I've printed some 50 A3+ prints and all look amazing. Colour rendition is very good for a six ink printer. Software is simple to use. Some may say it's expensive, but cost per print is much lower due to the ink tanks. Could not be happier and a very recommended product

Printing is great on different kinds of paper. Not sure about ink consumption but lovely that inks were included in the price. Good to know that they won’t dry up too. The paper trays/holders are not great quality and pull up awkwardly rather than with a smooth action. Nice feature when you turn the machine off that there is an option for the output tray to slide away automatically.

This printer is the only one that ticks all the boxes I'm looking for - 6 ink tanks, network + wifi, A3+ capable, scanning, etc etc. Surprisingly it's around the same size as the Canon MG8250 it replaces even though it takes double the paper size. A3 is from the rear feeder and pass-through port only, but the printer also has 2 cassettes for A4 and smaller photo papers, and will print CDs/DVDs, whatever they might be! When all the doors are closed up it's a nice sleek design, not an eyesore. Filling ink tanks is a breeze - Epson has designed a no-spill system for filling that works really well, and so far it has hardly used any ink (apart from the initial amount needed to prime the system). The variable-angle touchscreen is surprisingly useful and software works fine, although downloading drivers for the Mac was a bit convoluted - Epson Software Updater had to be downloaded first, which then downloaded an updated version of itself, which then came up with a list of the various drivers and software package options to install. Print quality seems very good - it might not be the absolute pinnacle for exhibition-quality photos but for my purposes it's more than adequate. All in all very pleased with it, and if it lasts as long as its predecessor the high price will be well worth it.
