Product Details

Godox TT685

The Godox TT685 is a solid flashlight with a guide number of 60 that fits perfectly with mirrorless and compact cameras. Despite its small size, the flash head rotates 360º horizontally and 97º vertically.

The lamp has a built-in transmitter with Godox X system which can be used as a controller (Master) with other lamps and that also support the Godox X system. It is possible to switch it into the Slave mode, which can be controlled remotely from other Godox X transmitter.

Flashgun Godox TT685 is equipped with three modes of operation. The first TTL mode allows you to shoot with the use of an automatic selection of flashlight power and work with all the automatic and semi-automatic modes available in cameras. The second option is the manual mode with S1 and S2 mode selection. The third mode stroboscopic (Multi) is great for taking effective photos at longer exposure times. Also offers the ability to sync flash with ultra-fast shutter speeds up to 1 / 8000s (HSS>). This option is especially appreciated by people who want to use the lamp during outdoor sessions, where very often you have to face intense ambient light.

Built-in zoom in manual and automatic mode works in the range of 20 - 200mm. If you need to illuminate a wider plan, you can use the wide-angle diffuser built into the head, which corresponds to a focal length of ~ 15mm. In addition, the lamp is equipped with a reflector which comes with an extra-light softening cover, that can be useful when taking pictures with the torch pointing straight ahead. The factory set also provides a flash stand and a handy case.

Flashgun has a built-in Battery Pack`s socket - to power lamp from an external source.

The micro USB connector is used to update the firmware of the lamp.

Set contains:

  • Godox TT685 Speedlite flash
  • Protective bag
  • Mini stand

I was going to buy a Canon flash until I saw the Godox. So far it has performed well and does feel well constructed. The ttl works perfectly and I like all the features the flash offers for the price. I have heard a lot of complaints about the life of a Yongnuo so I went with the Godox.

Great product but after a month or so it wouldn't turn on unless i opened and closed the battery door with the switch turned on. I should've sent it back then but didn't get to it now it wont turn on. Maybe it's just some loose soldering but I didn't drop it and it stayed in my camera bag.

Much cheaper than getting the OEM Canon Speedlite 600EX II RT. You can probably buy 4-5 of these for the price of one Canon Speedlite. The build quality is very good and in my opinion seems much better than the more popular Yongnuo brand flashes.

I occasionally use speedlites, which have been a couple of Canon 580ex. Lately I have been doing some strobist type setups with speedlites for quick environmental portraits, sometimes using cc gels to balance colour.

This flash is amazing. I've used Canon speed lights for years, I purchased 2 865's to use one to trigger the other and they worked perfectly. I'll be purchasing more to replace all of my worn out equipment. The price is amazing, and so far not 1 complaint from their performance.

The only reason I didnt give this 5 stars is I havent used it much yet and I havent been able to get the optical wireless firing to work. I did get to use it once for a portrait shoot shortly after I got it and it worked great.

For those who want to spend a little less, it does the job just fine! Ive found just one negative aspect: Slow low light auto focus assist for the camera. Besides this, very powerful and durable

Not a bad flash for the money but the autofocus assist light failed after a couple of months. Godox was willing to fix or replace it, but I never had the opportunity to send it in. I just want a flash with a really good autofocus assist light.

Used it the first time today shooting a Christmas Fellowship Program. Its performance was virtually the same as the Canon flash. Powerful flash. Will order a second one for backup.

I bought this as a backup for my Canon OEM 400 series flash, now 6 years old. Instead of buying another Canon dedicated unit I took a chance on this Godox. I had never heard of the Godox brand before so I took a chance.
