WideBand Multi-coated Lenses

The binoculars contain high-quality Bak-4 Porro-Prisms manufactured from treated and refined glass. The lenses have been specially treated with WideBand multi coatings which guarantee light transmission to be at a maximum. As a result of these advanced optical features, the binoculars offer bright, sharp and detailed images even when used in low light conditions.

Unlike the majority of traditional Porro prism binoculars, the Falmouth series from Hilkinson are 100% waterproof thanks to watertight O-Ring seals. To further optimise this innovative waterproof design, thick rubber armour has been added to the binocular body to ensure that when they do get wet, a firm grip can still be maintained. Hilkinson added a final level of climate protection by injecting and sealing each barrel of the binoculars with nitrogen gas. This measure works to counter any internal fogging of the lenses, a common problem when the binoculars are subjected to temperature change.
