In spite of its impressive wide-angle zoom range of 7-14mm (35mm film camera equivalent; 14-28mm), this lens is surprisingly compact and lightweight for casual on-the-go use. Taking advantage of its wide, 114-degree angle of view, it enables to fit subjects into the frame easily even when shooting indoors where the distance is limited. The world looks extraordinary when viewing through the new lens, allowing photos and movies to be recorded with a uniquely rich perspective.

This high-performance lens system achieves outstanding compactness by combining 16 lens elements in 12 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses and 4 ED lenses. Image resolution is high from corner-to-corner even at the wide-angle setting. Thanks to its large-diameter glass molded lens elements, it also features F4.0 brightness over the entire zoom range.

When mounted on the Lumix G Micro System camera, this lens allows use of the advanced contrast AF system, which includes an AF Tracking and a Face Recognition function, for more convenient, more enjoyable shooting.

7 diaphragm blades of circular aperture diaphragm give the aperture a rounded shape that produces an attractively smooth effect in out-of-focus areas when shooting at larger aperture settings. It also features a highly reliable metal mount, and uses multi-coated lens elements that minimize ghosts and flare to further enhance its optical performance. The optimally designed lens hood is enabled to use even under strong sunlight, too.

The Micro Four Thirds System standard made it possible to achieve its compact size and light weight body. Despite its extremely compact size and superb optical performance, this lens brings out the full capabilities of the 4/3-type image sensor, achieves smoother Live View in superb combination with camera’s body and allows a variety of unique features.

This specialised lens is more than capable of producing very high quality images with very good sharpness across the frame. Although flare may be an issue caused by the large bulbous front element, so long as a little care is taken to avoid the situations where this may occur, it is only a small...

This replaced a Nikon 10-24 on a metabones adapter and is way smaller and lighter. Also has the benefit of full electronic communication with the body so everything is faster and more accurate.

Wex Photo Video

Nicely built lens that is sharp as pins. Great range from ultra-wide 7mm (14mm equivalent) to wide 14mm (28mm equivalent). Not an inexpensive lens but build and image quality superb.

Wex Photo Video

This is an excellent lens, its incredibly small especially compared to the Nikon 14-24 which has almost the same range on FX Nikons. It is expensive but the optical quality is well worth the money.

Warehouse Express delivers quickly and efficiently. The Panasonic 7-14 lens is much smaller than you expect and really light. The lens is sharp and resists flare well. I've shot with the sun almost in the frame and there isn't any sign of flare.

Henrys

"This lens is tiny compared to an equivalent full frame or crop lens. The build quality is outstanding, featuring solid construction and nicely damped focus and zoom rings. The lens cap is slide-on rather than clip.

Even though the Olympus 12-40 is on my camera about 80% of the time, just about all my photos that I think are WOW end up being from this lens. For somebody who shoots a lot of landscapes, this lens is a must.

After I bought my Panasonic GX9 camera I wanted a wide angle lens to give me the needed coverage for my city and scenic photography. It totally fits the bill, and it is always left on my camera. With my 40 years as a pro photographer...

I love using a wide-angle lens for dramatic images and this lens fits the bill. I purchased this before a trip to the Canadian Rockies and it was the lens I used the most. I am attaching an image I made with this lens.

Nice wide angle lens for the micro four thirds system. Very sharp and also compact in size compared to a wide angle lens for a full frame camera. Makes carrying gear a breeze. Love this lens.

I took this along on a trip to the California desert last week. Ended up taking about 80% of my shots with it. Shooting directly into the sun will produce a green/violet flare. I'm OK with it, some may not be.
