This wireless controller comprises of two units- a transmitter and a receiver. The receiver is connected to the remote plug on the camera, and the transmitter is a hand-held unit that aim at the receiver to trigger the camera. As with most infrared devices, wireless controllers require an unobstructed line-of-sight between the transmitter unit and the receiver.
