This is a set of auto extension tubes which fit between your SLR camera and lens for extra close focusing (macro) shots, up to 1:1 (life size) or even better. Three tubes are supplied (13mm, 21mm and 31mm) and they can be used singly or together in any combination up to around 65mm. The longer the extension used, the closer you'll get.

With a 50mm standard lens, the full set will get you to greater than 1:1 (actually 1.3x life size). This is better than most dedicated macro lenses, filling the frame with a subject as small as 18x28mm (0.7x1.1 inches) on film (and smaller on most digital), and is ideal for photographing many small objects such as coins, stamps, insects, etc. Even greater magnification may be available with wider angle lenses. Longer lenses offer lower magnification, but more comfortable working distances.
